UConn forward Terry Larrier, who took an elbow to the face during UConn’s victory Wednesday night, participated in a light workout with his teammates Thursday and it seems unlikely that the junior will miss any games for the Huskies because of the injury.

Larrrier did not undergo any X-rays but the UConn medical staff is apparently confident that he suffered no broken bones.

“He looks like he went a few rounds,” one observer said Thursday in describing Larrier’s bruised left cheek.

Larrier score 13 points in UConn’s 62-53 over Central Florida Wednesday night.

UConn (9-7, 2-2 American) will head to New Orleans today for a game against Tulane Saturday.

COBB STILL IN LIMBO

Center Eric Cobb’s indefinite suspension was still in effect as of Thursday evening, a UConn spokesman said.

It’s not clear if Cobb will travel with the team on its two-game road trip that begins Saturday and continues with a game Tuesday in Memphis.

Cobb was suspended Monday for “conduct deemed detrimental to the team.” Ollie has been silent publicly on his reasons for suspended Cobb, though the two did exchange some heated words during UConn’s win over East Carolina last weekend.

Cobb was not in attendance at all for UConn’s victory over UCF Wednesday.
