Bristol, Plymouth have small rises in confirmed coronavirus cases, plus updates for Southington, Plainville

New Britain had another two residents confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus Friday, bringing the city’s total for this week to 63, according to data released by state health officials. The city has had 1,369 confirmed and 58 probable cases since reporting began. The probable cases did drop by one since Thursday.

Bristol also had an increase of two in residents being confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus. The city has had 681 confirmed and 17 probable cases in all.

Southington had two residents confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus as well. The town has had 381 confirmed and 15 probable cases.

Berlin had one resident confirmed as having tested positive for the virus Friday. The town has had 194 confirmed and nine probable cases in all.

Plymouth had one additional confirmed case of coronavirus in town for 78 confirmed and five probable overall.

Newington had a decrease of one in confirmed cases Friday, for totals that now stand at 428 confirmed and 20 probable.

Plainville remained at 182 confirmed and three probable cases.

Statewide, there were 21,509 coronavirus tests reported Friday with 233 coming back as positive cases. There was two additional deaths reported for a total of 4,480 and there was a decline of one in patients hospitalized with coronavirus. There are 51 patients currently hospitalized due to covid-19.
