BRISTOL - A two-car crash Friday afternoon caused some minor traffic delays on Stafford Avenue.

Police and firefighters responded to the accident at about 3:05 p.m., at the intersection of Stafford Avenue and Maltby Street. There, a pickup truck and an SUV collided.

Both vehicles sustained damage to their driver side front ends and had to be towed from the scene.

An ambulance was dispatched to the crash for an evaluation before being cancelled shortly thereafter, as the person who requested it got a ride to an area hospital, police were told.

No other injuries were reported.

Traffic on Stafford Avenue and motorists coming from Mix Street were backed up for a short time until the vehicles could be removed.
