BRISTOL - Crews are working to repair another water main break in the city.

The Bristol Water Department reported the latest break at about 11:25 a.m. and said it is reporting residents on Emmett Street from the area of 360 to the 500 block. Residents in the area can anticipate water service being shut off throughout the day.

Residents living on the surrounding streets may experience low water pressure, discolored water or no water at all. There is no estimate as to how long the break will take to repair, but crews will remain on scene until the fix is complete.

Officials from the Bristol Water Department are advising residents that laundry should not be done with discolored water. Once the break is repaired, water should be run in a bathtub until it runs clear.

This is the seventh water main break reported in the city since Dec. 6.
