BRISTOL - Dathan Hickey may not be playing for Bristol Central next fall, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be an opportunity to watch him.

ESPN and the Ivy League reached a 10-year deal that will show more than 1,100 Ivy League games across ESPN networks, and the annual Harvard-Yale football game will be part of six Ivy League football games per year shown on cable.

Hickey is expected to be playing for Yale next season as a future freshman.

“Having the opportunity to play on ESPN is both crazy and unreal,” Hickey said.

“It’s like all of my dreams are coming true right before my eyes. Growing up watching ESPN and all the great players doing what they love is truly something special. I finally came to the realization that I can say I’m going to be one of those players that kids see, play, and aspire to be like. It’s a blessing to say the least. All glory to God.”
